Mother Daughter Weekend

Sunset at Pacific City, Oregon Coast

Last weekend I went to the Oregon Coast with my mommy, Andryce, and her mommy. It was such a beautiful and relaxing weekend. As you can see by the photos, good weather wasn't something that we lacked! It was amazing and perfect. Sometimes the soul needs to hear the ocean, and feel the sand squish between the naked toes and of course have some good old fashion girl time.
I am proud to write that I have found a job. A good job that I think I will actually love and feel good about myself as I do it! I didn't get my dream job, (the one working with the study abroad program,) which might have been a blessing in disguise seeing how I think they wanted me to commit for a really long time (3 years plus) and I just am not sure if I want to be in the same place for that long. However, the job that I did get is with a counseling service called Options, that administers low cost or free mental health counseling to low income families. So my job title officially, is a Mental Health Associate. Basically I will be assiting the therapist in any translating, home visits, paper work, one on one interivews with children that need to be done. I start out part-time and hopefully with in the next couple of months move up to full-time. I can't wait to start!!!!!

I love your new job Emmy! I have to tell you though, I have been thinking a lot about the NPO we are going to start, I have some ideas to discuss. Ok, the internet guy seems to be turning off all of the computers around me which seems to be a sign to leave. Peace (dove) in the middle east... Bush willing.

Ems,

Are you working at the Hoopla or just playing? Let me know, maybe we can meet up? The Salem Art Fair will be here also. But with the heat, we might be heading over to the coast on Sat. afternoon sometime. It's going to be a scorcher!

Have you started your job yet?
