Missing in Action

I am sorry to all of those loyal Emmy Awarder readers! Now usual excuses for not keeping up on things are usually along the lines of; too busy, too much work, i am traveling ect. My reason for not posting anything in ages, is because well I feel a bit embarrassed. Before I had all of these great stories; traveling, living in Peru, coming home to exciting new things/people, and now I just feel that my poor blog is just not going to have the same vibe. I also do not have a camera to post some cool pics.
Here is a some what version of my life as I know it at the present. I will start with teh most recent and work my way back. My last week has been extremely exciting. My good friend Nanda, who is kicking ass in his PhD philosophy program in Long Island, paid me a nice visit for the whole week! (his mom also lives here but I like to think that he came for just me) It was a great treat to have Nanda spend a couple days with me, and for those of you that know Nanda, know exactly what I mean! Certain activites that you usally just do, take on a whole new meaning and become FUN all of sudden; watching dark scary movies, trying to uncork wine without a cork screw, washing dishes, planting flowers, dancing, and attempting yoga.
Two weekends ago I went up to Portland to visit Tina, Andryce, Tom and Nanda, so the 5 of us could all be in the same room, for the first time in 2 years. It was good for the soul to laugh, the type of laugh that makes your mouth hurt from smiling too much.
As many of you know, I have unfortunately entered back into the realm of akward first dates, yes this is right, I am currently a single woman again. I don't say that with any sorta of excitment, but I do say it with hope and faith that everything will turn out ok for me (and Scott)...either way that the dices may role. It sucks, I am sad, and my heart hurts but you just gotta keep moving and love yourself.
My normal schedule thus far is random and I try to enjoy it as much as possible. My two new obsession are Sex and the City and Sudoku. No full time job yet....But I am crossing my fingers that one will come along quickly! I have had a prelim interview with the Interamerican University Studies Institute, the program I studied with in Queretaro Mexico back in 2002. My Head Start sub job has slowed down since the school year is out, and my new brillant idea for quick money is becoming a bartender! I am in the process of becoming a certified bartender, and I have to learn all of these drinks and take a test. It is so un-emmy in a way, but I think that is why it sorta excites me, something totally new.
The summer is here, and I hope that the sun stays for once! enjoy the summer everyone!

Hey girly :
Thanks for the post. I know your dilemma of no news and no camera, that's the spot I'm in now as well. As far as this week goes, I've got stuff on Weds and Thurs, so I'm thinking the best day to travel south to Eugene would be Friday, what do ya think? What's your schedule like then? I could come down in the morning, and maybe head back before 5 o'clock traffic? Or maybe I could do next Monday and stay longer??
P.S. Didn't know you loved Sudoko...So cool. Maybe we could trade game tricks?
sweet!!! yeah becca Friday or Monday both work for me at this point.......hmmm yeah whatever you want girly girl!
give me a jingle
Word Up Emmy, I am in Oregon as of today and I hope to make it to Eugene and to your families house.
