Almost Home....

Peru down...Ecuador almost down, and home is only a week away. I am currently in Banos, Ecuador listening to a huge water-spuma fight going on next door...ending the CarnAval celebrations. Thank God, I hate dodging water balloons and foam. We entered Ecuador about a week ago after spending some time in Cuzco and Mancora Peru. It was great to see the amazing city of Cuzco again and explore it a little more. We did a tour of the Sacred Valley, which was awesome by the way.....I never expected it to be that cool, but man the Incans were crazy people that created things never short of truly glorious. Mancora, Peru is in the north of Peru and it is a surf town, or better put, was a surf town. It was a neat place, but with sorta a weird feel. It was like this place used to be soooo popular and now it has died down recently, so it had a ghost town feel, like many people were missing from the scenes or something. But nonetheless, we worked on our tans (except scott, sunscreeen maniac)and played frisbee on the beach and ate coconuts. Now we are planning on leaving Banos tomorrow for Quito to spend our last week there. Banos was a great place to see some of the Carnaval celebrations. We saw this parade where they tied bulls together and then whipped them and they went crazy and almost ran over the crowds of people. There is also a marijuana plant growing outside of my hostal room.....high times....and there is an active volcano in this city, it smokes and lights up at night and not to mention the hot springs full of piss.
One more note before I go for Becca and Lara. You will be proud to know that I have started reading Harry Potter, and am obsessed.....I dream of him at night very often, it is all so magical, I cant wait to start number 3 when I get home. I am a crazed muggle.
